» Chair & Eldercare Massage Certification Course Information

This elite 3 day course is available for beginners or existing therapists. The Chair & Eldercare Massage course will begin on Friday evening and end Sunday with in between time for home study, home practice and case studies. A practical assessment will complete the course on the final day. No previous massage experience is required to attend the course. We will provide you with a course manual for your additional home study. Upon successful completion of the course students will receive a certificate.

Seated chair massage has been used for centuries. With this form of massage, the client remains fully clothed and positioned on a specially designed ergonomically chair that can be taken into almost any professional, public, or private setting. To ensure you massage with confidence to a high professional standard, we will teach you the most effective chair massage techniques, with sessions ranging from 10 minutes to an hour. After successful completion of the course students will be able to conduct a relaxing chair massage. 20 case studies are required.

Number of Participants

The course is restricted to a small number of participants. This allows for personal time to be spent each day with the student on a one to one level. During this session, the instructor is able to monitor the standard of massage techniques, correct faults before they become habitual, answer questions, and discuss any problems as they arise. The philosophy of Hands-on-course is to be as fully available and approachable as possible throughout the certification course.

Course Hours

The course is 19 hours over three days. In order to receive a certificate of completion, participants must attend all 19 hours. In the case of an emergency that prevents the participants from being in attendance, the instructor, at her prerogative, can assign make-up work that approximates the missed material.
